Money makes the world goes around they say, and every bit of it is the truth. But the internet runs the world today. While money still makes it go around, internet is what makes money go around and it has become an indispensable part of this world.

But what runs the internet? Google, Microsoft, Facebook perhaps. In part, that would be the truth, but what makes the internet what it is are web hosts, companies that make up the virtual space that is the internet and A2 is one of the best in the business.

Before you label me a paid puppet though, you should know this. This article is completely unbiased and an honest opinion of what I love about A2.

I wrote this in such a manner because choosing a web host is among the most difficult tasks you will ever take up and this will make it easier for you to do so because no matter what people tell you, there is no such thing as a best host in this industry. It’s all about the right fit.

Now to A2. Founded in 2001 in Michigan, A2 has always stayed under the radar providing the full spectrum of hosting solutions. One of the very few independent hosting companies around, it has focused on delivering high speed hosting services right from the get-go.

The company has always relied on the product more than the brand name and as such have built a company that sees itself as a hosting company rather than a brand of any sort. It is also one of the things I like about A2.

Oh, and if you have made up your mind about choosing A2, they have an ongoing discount of more than 50% on their shared and reseller hosting services.

They Deliver on Their Speed Claims

If you look at the website A2 has, then the focus of their product is quite clear, speed. It is the theme of their website to the point that it may sound fantastic even. But do they deliver on those claims. The answer is a resounding yes!

Its fast, really fast. The fastest perhaps, of every hosting service I have used yet, and that’s a lot of them. While they do deliver on their speed claims, some of them can be misleading as they are upsells. Its not that you don’t get that speed, you just have to pay more for it. For instance, the turbo servers they offer.

Global Datacentres

Part of the reason why the server response is so fast is due to the location of their datacentres. They have datacentres located in US, Asia and Europe out of which you can choose whichever one you want.

This is a big advantage if you are looking at local traffic and serve only a single geographic location. I mean it would be faster to retrieve the data your visitors need if they are in the same location as the server.

Customer Support and Their Hands on Approach

Customer support is imperative in hosting and I can’t stress enough on how important it is. Imagine you have traffic in the thousands and the website just goes down. It means money for you and the only ones that can help are the customer service reps.

Not only do they have good customer support, but the way they approach the problems is what sol me. They tend to solve the issue themselves rather than walking you through solving it. I love this. It saves you time and trouble of having to go through what they are saying.

The Transparency

I have nothing against big corporations. I believe they are necessary to promote growth bringing the best out of the rest, but- they do come with their own set of problems. When it comes to hosting I prefer independent companies simply because there are very few of them.

But that’s not the only reason. They are more customer focused and the kind of transparency they bring to the table simply cannot be matched by big corporations.
